Brazilian starlet Richarlison went down under pressure from Hector Bellerin in the Arsenal box and the referee duly pointed to the penalty spot. "We played with a little bit more risk in second half". Arsene Wenger felt his side were extremely unlucky and branded the decision "scandalous", but it was the comments of Watford's skipper that will take all the headlines. At the end of the day they scored.

Wenger's gave up a 1-0 lead as Troy Deeney netted from the penalty spot in the second half and Tom Cleverley scored an injury-time victor from a rebound at Vicarage Road.

Watford were poor in the first half against Arsenal and trailed 1-0 at the break, but they improved significantly in the second period and claimed all three points thanks to Troy Deeney's 71st minute penalty and Tom Cleverley's 92nd minute victor.

"I've heard Wenger's already saying the penalty is the reason they lost", Deeney told BT Sport.

'Well, I'm not one to tell Mr. Wenger about himself, but the reason they lost wasn't due to one penalty.

'I don't think there are many teams, top teams, that had the chance Ozil had and be so naive, so nonchalant with it, ' he said after Watford climbed to fourth in the table.
