Police said kayakers on the Red River found a body wrapped in plastic and duct tape against a tree near 90th Avenue North and 15th Street north of Moorhead.

According to the New York Daily News, she was found wrapped in a plastic bag, stuck on log in the river.

Fargo detectives confirmed late Sunday night that the body was in fact Savanna Greywind.

Clay County Sheriff's Department is handling the search and investigation of the farmstead that is believed to be a crime scene, Fargo Police Chief David Todd said.

Crews said she told her how to induce labor, and Greywind came back two days later to give her the newborn baby, according to the suspect. LaFontaine-Greywind, 22 and eight months pregnant with her first child, lived in the same building.

At the same time, Todd says a farmstead was being searched.

Crews and Hoehn were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping Thursday. Further details about LaFontaine-Greywind's death, or the manner in which her baby was born, were not released.

He said he took garbage bags containing bloody shoes and his bloody towels and disposed of them away from the apartment complex, according to court documents filed on Monday. She told them she was going to help an upstairs neighbor who said she needed a model while sewing a dress.

The couple will face three charges each: conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and providing false information to law enforcement, Burdick said.

However, the suspects have told police the baby is hers.

On Friday, police said they believe they found Greywind's newborn baby girl in their apartment; however, they are waiting on a DNA test to confirm this.

Hoehn told police he arrived home from work one day and found Crews, his girlfriend, cleaning up blood in the bathroom - allegedly from the baby girl's premature delivery.

The two suspects in the death of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind are again waking up in jail after a judge set bail at $2 million each. The baby girl now is in the hospital; her condition was not listed in reports.

"All I wanted was a life with Savanna and my baby, but they took it from me", Matheny told the Forum News Service last week, before LaFontaine-Greywind's body was found.
