This is an interesting development, considering the fact that the original Legacy Edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (which included Modern Warfare Remastered in the same package) was about $80 upon its release. The fact that Modern Warfare Remastered is going for $40 is surprising, since it essentially adds $20 to the price you could get that game as well as Infinite Warfare for at launch.

The trailer gives a PS4 release date of June 27, though it's noted that other platforms will release at a later date. Next week, however, PS4 fans will be among the first to be able to purchase the updated title on its own without having to spend additional money on Infinite Warfare if they don't want to do so. For one thing, the older version of the game was designed for last-generation consoles, like the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. At this rate, you might as well wait for that to drop in price, because at least you get two games for your money. Let us know in the comments. But many fans didn't like the sci-fi setting of Infinite Warfare, and that may have held Modern Warfare Remastered back. Modern Warfare had some memorable missions, such as "All Ghillied Up", "Charlie Don't Surf", and "Crew Expendable".
