Aston Martin will produce 200 V8 models and 100 V12 models. It gets the option of special paint schemes - white and orange, black and blue, blue and red or silver and grey.
It looks like Aston Martin may be putting its 12-year-old Vantage platform into retirement. Both naturally aspirated engines are hooked up to automated sequential manual gearboxes with six- and seven-speeds, respectively. Hence, it is not surprising that the company has chosen Vantage model as the first AMR model to enter production. Meet the entry-level products of Aston Martin's brand new AMR (Aston Martin Racing) range, the Vantage V8 AMR and its even more exclusive V12 cousin. The highlight is carbon-fibre seats with front grille, side strakes, lamp infill and mirror caps on the outside, instrument surround, door tops and door grabs on the inside.More news: Coyotes get D Niklas Hjalmarsson in trade with Blackhawks
The first of these new models is the Vantage AMR, borrowing its handle from Aston Martin Racing. There's also a "Halo Pack", which is inspired by the 2016 World Endurance Championship-winning #95 Vantage GTE, which blends Stirling Green with Lime Green accents.
From the outside, both cars look almost identical to the V8 and V12 Vantage S, lacking the more aggressive body addenda of the AMR show cars. The V8 Vantage AMR's 5-spoke alloy wheels and the V12 Vantage AMR's lightweight 10-spoke alloy wheels have three different finishes.More news: India, Portugal launch startup hub in first Indian PM visit
