Justin Trudeau photobombs Vancouver prom-goers

Known for his style, exuberant persona, and promotion of ideals based on unity rather than division, Justin Trudeau is a social media favourite.

Canadian high school students in Vancouver were posing for pictures before their prom when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau jogged past them.

The prime minister's official photographer, Adam Scotti, was able to capture the moment.

One of the students Trudeau was running past has revealed the Prime Minister agreed to take a selfie with them - once they all realised who it was running past.

Of course, this isn't the first time Trudeau has turned up in someone's photos.

The unsuspecting teens had gathered to take pictures at the Stanley Park Seawall in Vancouver, all dolled up in their gowns and tuxedos for the special night. Dressed in shorts, t-shirt and running shoes, Justin Trudeau actually stopped by and clicked a picture with the students, who seemed visibly ecstatic.

At first glance, it appears the PM has pulled off a sly photobomb. Trudeau has a lengthy history in Vancouver as he was a teacher at West Point Grey Academy before later transitioning to politics.

That'll be one for the photo album.

"We were just taking photos and hanging around talking, and then Trudeau, he just comes running", Maragos said.
