First Lady Melania Trump visited the Children's National Health System in Washington to help the hospital mark the official opening of a healing garden dedicated to all the first ladies of the USA, the media reported.
Melania said, "It has always been my belief that the nurturing and positive environment is vital to the health and well-being of all children".
In February, the first lady of Japan, accompanied her husband to Washington, but Melania was noticeably absent.

The First Lady of United States arrived at the White House with President Donald Trump on Inauguration Day but has been mostly absent ever since and continues to live in NY with her only child. "She gave an answer, and she's cool".
The US press often portrays her and Jared as moderating influences over a president hot to temper, but there has been little evidence that their assumed progressive views have tempered policy decisions. This is a much different picture than inauguration day, when President Trump awkwardly left her behind while greeting the Obama's.

During the campaign, Mrs. Trump promised to combat cyberbullying as first lady.
She settled a lawsuit with the Daily Mail that alleged she worked as an escort in the 1990s.
