It's been almost seven months since Netflix, without much warning, dropped the entire first season of what was then a little-known eight-episode '80s-style science-fiction horror series.

"Eleven's bloody nose in that Stranger Things 2 ad was a nice subtle jab at the Patriots tonight", I tweeted.

Stranger Things fans have been told "the world is turning, upside down", in a new teaser trailer for the hotly anticipated second series. The new season will also star Sean Astin, whose role was recently revealed.

"Stranger Things 2" takes place in 1984, a year after the events of season 1.

Though the image seems innocent enough, IGNreports that there might be something more to the forecast, suggesting that the photo may hold a teaser for Stranger Things' season 2 premiere date.

Of course, the first season stood incredibly well on its own, but fans wanted more calling for a second season. Meanwhile, all eight episodes of the show's first season are now available to stream globally through Netflix.

It is believed that Reiser's role will be significant in "Stranger Things 2".

Levy also assured that the main characters of the show will be coming back this season. The show recently won a Screen Actors' Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. If these trailers are any indication, we can all expect some entertaining movies - and a lot of sequels - this summer and a second helping of "Stranger Things" in the fall.

Set to return next week, The Walking Dead set tongues wagging in anticipation last night as a short, but none-the-less-exciting, advert debuted for the hit show.
